Deutsche Postbank calls on PSTG for data disposal

Deutsche Postbank AG engaged PSTG to decommission the IT equipment for its subsidiary Deutsche Postbank AG London Branch following the closure of their London operations. The project covered full inventory, decommissioning, data wiping, reselling and disposal of all electrical and electronic equipment including telephony, data centre and desktop assets.

The work was fully documented and completed in just 12 days, including two days for collection and 10 for processing, at no cost to the client. Complete asset tracking including required ‘Certificates of disposal’ were provided as part of PSTG’s service.

All data was erased using Communications-Electronics Security Group-approved software from Blancco, and no electronic waste went to landfill. Secure and confidential data were wiped on-site prior to the removal of the associated hardware.

“The project was completed with time to spare and amazingly at no cost to the business, which was a very pleasant surprise,” said a Deutsche Postbank project manager.

“We are extremely pleased with the great service supplied and I would recommend their business to anyone.”
